Robert E. Dwigans Jr.
Known by many and loved by all, Robert Eugene Dwigans Jr. passed away to be with our Lord on July 4, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. He was welcomed into this world along with his twin sister Sharon on October 25, 1944 by his mother Mary Kathryn Baker and father Robert Eugene Dwigans Sr. who preceded him in death.
He married the love of his life, Charlotte Elaine Martin on December 17, 1966 after a persistent four year courtship. Robert retired from Con-Agra Foods (Nabisco, Standard Brands) after 41 years of loyal service. He was an avid race fan and spent 43 years as a “yellow shirt” for the Indianapolis 500. He recently became a member of the Old-Timers Club for his dedication.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte, brother; William (Suelyn) Dwigans, sister; Sharon (Mike) Turnbloom, son; Paul (Stephanie) Dwigans, grandson; Samuel Dwigans and countless other family and friends who will dearly miss his presence.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250 and the funeral service will be Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
A special acknowledgment of gratitude extended to Marilyn Martin and her children: Christine, Curtis, Shelia, Marvin, and Arvin for their love and support.

Aunt Charlotte it has been a great pleasure to have Uncle Bobby in my life and to share him with my husband. It meant a lot to me to have him step in to be the man to give me away at my wedding. If I could not have my own dad he was the best dad I could find. I will miss him greatly. He will always have a special place in my heart, as he did in my life.

    Dear Aunt Charlotte,
Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We are praying that God will wrap His loving arms around you, as Uncle Bobby makes his final journey home.
The Martin family has always meant a great deal to us, thus by extension, do you and yours. We will certainly be thinking of all of you in the coming days.

    Much love,
Linda , Sherri, LeAnn, Andrew and Benjamin
